Will's song Day 1

I started off this song with a simple bass line that goes from that follows the 12 bar blues I IV V outline. This is in the key of C blues. I then added a simple swing drum line and looped it. After this I added comping chords of C F and G that were inverted to make it sound lighter. I also added a harmonic guitar harmonic to top the comp chords. I finished off the day by recording a solo and experimenting with the pitch bend feature on the MIDI.

Will's song Day 2

On my next day of playing, I added a melody line using an 80's synth sound. I tried to make it sound jazzy, and added a little bridge. I tried to write it so that it would be nice intro to the solo that I wrote the previous day.

Will's song day 3

On this day, I added a harmony to my melody that used simple thirds. I did not change anything with the bass, drums, or comping. I improvised over the song multiple times, but couldn't play one that I like more than the original. I also looped the melody after the improvisation.

Will's song Final

On the final day, I tried to clean things up and add a final bridge melody. I used the trumpet sound and played octaves. I thought this was a nice powerful bridge to lead back into the melody to finish. I tried one more solo, but decided to stay with the original.
